Gather together and sip warm ceremonial cacao (unprocessed cocoa) mixed with nutmilk and spices) and allow a playlist of world music to gently move your body to help silently embody and integrate your Shamanic Breathwork. Here is a video to explain the origins of cacao.
Cacao & Ecstatic Dance Ceremony
Cacao is a mineral-rich, heart chakra-opening natural resource that has been part of Hispanic culture for thousands of years. Raw, unprocessed cacao is mixed with water, cinnamon, nutmeg and spices (and sometimes some milk or nut milks) to be consumed in community. Moving your body to music is the easiest way to integrate the energies that shifted or transformed during the journey. This event brings us together to drink a small portion together and open our hearts through love, music, and movement. All ingredients will be displayed at the event. Natural cacao will be available for anyone with food allergies or sensitivities.
PREPARATION The ceremony begins the moment you say yes, even if you haven't paid for your registration. Your heart knows. Heavy meals before the event are not recommended. Eat something light an hour or so before the event. Wear clothes that allow you to move freely on your yoga mat and throughout the room. You may begin on your mat rocking and quiet, stand and sway in the middle, and glide around the room until you come back to your mat. Best to dress for ease of flow.
BRING - A yoga mat (or similar) - Water bottle - Blanket - Pillow for your head or as a bolster under your knees
LABYRINTH A Sophia Rose labyrinth is at the center of the ceremony. It's modeled after the Chartres Chapel in France. Labyrinths are an ancient too for self-discovery through walking meditation. It's a single, circular path that leads to the center. Think of it as moving to the center of your heart, or a story that you are ready to release, or the last time you will think about a situation, then feeling what it's like to drop it in the center and walk without it on your way out. Labyrinths are used to quiet the mind, recover balance in life, enhance creativity and encourage self-reflection.
